　  A post-doctoral position in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry available. A young research group in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder, co-sponsored by the Colorado Initiative in Molecular Biotechnology (CIMB). The CIMB is an initiative at CU to foster new research, teaching, and technology development at the interface of life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics and computational sciences, and engineering. The program has close ties to many local biotech companies, including placement of graduate students and participation in multi-disciplinary research programs. Yin’s group is specifically interested in the areas of: (1) biology and signaling of integral membrane proteins that play important roles in cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases; (2) structure-based drug design and chemical biology approaches in neurobiology; and (3) protein receptor binding or cell-based drug screening technologies. Experience with biophysical/biochemical assays, protein purification, tissue culture, and biomoelucular spectroscopies desired.
